Chancellor’s Trophy II 2026 – Highlights

The championship formally commenced with the Drafting Ceremony held on Saturday, 3rd January 2026. The drafting process was conducted in a transparent and well-organized manner to ensure balanced team formation. The ceremony witnessed active participation from Team Managers and Captains, along with the presence of Senior Management, which added significance and institutional credibility to the proceedings.

To mark the official launch of the championship, the Chancellor’s Trophy Kits and Trophy Unveiling Ceremony was held on Monday, 19th January 2026, with all participating teams in attendance. The unveiling of the trophy symbolized unity, commitment, and the spirit of competitive sport. Senior Management distributed kits to the teams and encouraged the players, creating a positive and motivating environment.

In addition to the main tournament, female faculty and management teams were also formed, promoting inclusivity and equal participation in sports activities. The teams, President Lioness and Chief Advisors Tigress, competed in tape-ball cricket matches, adding a meaningful dimension of gender inclusion to the championship. The Chief Advisors Tigress team emerged as the winner of these matches, reflecting strong performance, teamwork, and discipline.

The league matches were held on 20th, 21st, and 22nd January 2026 at the PRL Cricket Ground, where teams displayed a high standard of skill, discipline, and sportsmanship. The competition progressed to the semi-final and final matches, which were held on 5th February 2026, marking the formal conclusion of the championship.

These final matches were held in connection with the observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day, reinforcing the values of unity, collective responsibility, peace, and national solidarity through sport, and giving the championship a broader social and national significance.

Following a competitive series of matches, Admin Lynx emerged as the Winner of the Chancellor’s Trophy II 2026, delivering an outstanding performance marked by consistency, teamwork, and determination. Rector Pumas secured the position of Runner-Up, demonstrating resilience, competitive spirit, and skill throughout the tournament.

The successful completion of Chancellor’s Trophy II 2026 strengthened interdepartmental collaboration and reinforced the values of unity, fair play, inclusivity, and excellence. The tournament concluded on a high note, creating lasting positive memories for players, officials, and spectators, and further establishing sports as a unifying and character-building platform within the university community.
