Inter Society Sports Festival 2026 (ISSF ’26)

The Inter Society Sports Festival 2026 (ISSF ’26) was successfully organized by the “Vanquishers” Sports Society in collaboration with the Sports & Student Societies Department from 25th to 28th April 2026 at Institute of Business Management (IoBM).

ISSF ’26 was designed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, healthy competition, and collaboration among students while strengthening student engagement and encouraging sports activities on campus. The festival provided students with an exciting platform to showcase their athletic abilities, leadership qualities, and team spirit through a wide range of sporting activities and competitions.

The three-day festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from 13 student societies and featured 14 sports disciplines, including volleyball, futsal, basketball, tug of war, badminton, squash, dodgeball, throwball, cricket, padel, weightlifting, deadlifting, arm wrestling, table tennis, and snooker. The event created an energetic and highly competitive atmosphere throughout the campus, with students demonstrating exceptional passion, discipline, dedication, and unity during every competition.

All participating societies performed remarkably well and displayed outstanding sportsmanship throughout the festival. The “Vanquishers” Sports Society emerged as the overall winner of ISSF ’26. Continuing the tradition of promoting unity and mutual respect among societies, the Vanquishers presented the Champion’s Trophy to the SHRS Society, while the ICE Society secured the second position.

The Sports & Student Societies Department played a significant role in ensuring the smooth execution and successful management of the festival. The collaboration between student societies and the organizing team highlighted the importance of teamwork, planning, and active student involvement in extracurricular initiatives at IoBM.

The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Talib S. Karim President IoBM, Ms. Sabina Mohsin Vice President, Foundation for Higher Education (FHE) and Chief Advisor, IoBM, and Mr. Nabhan S. Karim HoD Marcom Department. The ceremony began with the distribution of medals, shields, and awards among participants and winning teams in recognition of their exceptional performances and dedication throughout the festival.

A special highlight of the event was the recognition of Abdul Rafay, who was awarded a Sports Scholarship from Curtin University Hockey Club. This remarkable achievement brought great pride to the institution and served as an inspiration for students pursuing excellence in sports alongside academics.

ISSF ’26 concluded on a highly successful and memorable note, reflecting IoBM’s continued commitment to providing students with opportunities for personal growth, talent development, leadership, and holistic learning experiences through sports and extracurricular engagement.
